Preferences

You know how we normally have preference to who we want to work with or hang out with? Well, yesterday, I learnt a little lesson from a senior coach – this preference limits us, in that we only really learn how to work with people we like to work with. When we have to work with people we are less inclined to be with, things fall apart – not so much because of the person himself, but in how we project our past experiences on the person, and how we approach the person differently because of them. When we can bring ourselves to work with people who we think are the hardest to work with, our ability to work with different people opens up.
